Don Tetto nace en Marzo del 2003 en Bogotá Colombia, como resultado de una convocatoria para un concurso de bandas llamado CPS (colegios por Bogotá) realizado por la emisora juvenil Radioactiva. Dicha convocatoria recibió más de 300 demos de diferentes banda en donde Don Tetto clasifico entre las 12 seleccionadas para adicionar en vivo frente a mas de 1000 personas de los diferentes colegios de Bogotá, y por decisión unánime del jurado, ganaron el concurso consiguiendo ser apadrinados por Radioactiva. 

 

Para Agosto del 2003 Don Tetto presenta en Radioactiva su primer sencillo en radio “pienso” con una muy buena aceptación por parte de la audiencia. Bajo diversas influencias de sus cuatro integrantes, Don Tetto comienza un proceso de búsqueda de identidad musical que los caracterizara como una banda con proyección internacional. Bajo este criterio y enfocándose en el Rock alternativo como definen hoy en día su género, Don Tetto se encamina a componer nuevas canciones inéditas y a presentar un formato en vivo lleno de energía y buena música. 

 

En el mes de Marzo del 2004 lanzan en Radioactiva su sencillo” Yo estaré bien” que fue el detonante del nombre y reconocimiento de Don Tetto como una de las mejores bandas de Rock en Colombia. Con este sencillo figuran en los más importantes conteos de Radioactiva durante aproximadamente 6 meses consecutivos, múltiples veces como número uno. 

 

En Noviembre del año 2004 y tras numerosas presentaciones en colegios y bares de Bogotá pasando por el festival Costeña Rock y Pop 2004 ante más de 5000 personas, Don Tetto lanza su sencillo “Soledad” que definitivamente fue una canción que reflejaba la identidad de la banda, y que duró más de un año en los conteos de Radioactiva, en los primeros lugares, y como número uno por más de 6 semanas consecutivas. 

 

Para finales del año 2005 y con gran número de presentaciones en vivo en la ciudad de Bogotá, Don Tetto decide que es el momento de audicionar para el festival Rock al Parque el festival gratuito más grande y más importante de Latinoamérica. Con su demo que consistía de 5 canciones entre las cuales están sus tres sencillos, “pienso” “yo estaré bien” y “soledad” fueron seleccionados entre más de 400 bandas para la segunda etapa de audiciones que consistía en un presentación en vivo frente a los jurados de Rock Al Parque. De las 32 bandas que llegaron a esta instancia solo clasificaban 16, entre ellas Don Tetto. 

 

Tras su presentación en Rock al parque en el año 2006, frente a más de 60.000 personas y con una calificaron excelente según los medios, Don Tetto se lanza a la travesía de componer su primer álbum completo. Entran a los estudios Ártico Records en el mes de febrero del 2007 bajo la supervisión de su productor Jorge Holguín, reconocido productor de Rock en Colombia. El álbum fue mezclado y masterizado en Miami por Boris Milan y Mike Couzzic respectivamente que aportaron todo su conocimiento para que las 14 canciones que incluye su primer trabajo “Lo que no sabias” sonaran de manera profesional y con la proyección internacional que estaban buscando. 

 

Durante el proceso de grabación no solo se afianzaron más las relaciones en la banda; también se finalizaron las negociaciones con el sello Cabeza De Ratón Music Entretainment, conformado por el más apto y profesional recurso humano liderado por su actual manager Ricardo Rodríguez quien encontró un potencial musical en la banda sin precedentes. También se crea su club oficial de Fans “Tettomania” con sede en Bogotá. 

 

El Álbum “Lo Que no Sabias” se lanza oficialmente al mercado el día 10 de agosto del 2007 rompiendo record de ventas del mes, y posicionándose como el 4 álbum más vendido en día de lanzamiento en los registros de Tower Records Colombia. 

 

En este mismo año Don Tetto es nominado a los premios Subterranica del Rock en Colombia, en las Categorías “Mejor Artista Nuevo” “Mejor Baterista” “Mejor Artista New School” Ganando en dos categorías “Mejor Artista 

Nuevo” y “Mejor Baterista”, También fueron nominados a los premios SHOCK de la música en dos categorías “Mejor Artista Myspace” y “Mejor Artista Nueva Escuela” Saliendo Triunfantes en la categoría “Mejor Artista Nueva Escuela”. 

 

Con su más reciente sencillo “Ha Vuelto A Suceder” Don Tetto se ha posicionado en las principales emisoras del país ampliando así su alcance musical llegando a regiones y ciudades nunca antes imaginadas y nuevamente con una gran aceptación a su propuesta musical. 

Para principios del años 2008 Don Tetto graba su primer video musical de la canción “Ha vuelto a Suceder” buscando afianzarse en la escena internacional, logrando llegar a la cadena MTV y MTV3. En la primera semana de rotación de su video, ocupan el primer lugar en MTVla en el conteo “Lo Nuevo”. 

 

En el mes de Abril del año 2008 realizan su primera gira nacional de 6 fechas en las principales ciudades del país, brindándole un nuevo aire y reconocimiento a su música.

Don Tetto is formed in March 2003 in Bogotá Colombia; as a result of a call for a battle of bands called CPS 

(Colegios Por Bogotá) promoted and sponsored Radioactiva a youth radio station. That call received over 300 

demos of different bands, where Don Tetto classify among 12 selected to perform live in front of more than 1000 

people from the different schools in Bogotá, and by unanimous decision of the jury Don Tetto was claimed as the 

winner. 

 

In August 2003 Don Tetto presents in Radioactiva its first radio single “Pienso” with a very positive reception from the 

audience. Under various influences of its four members, Don Tetto begins a process of finding musical identity that 

characterizes the band as a band with an international dimension. Under this approach and focusing on alternative 

rock as defined today by gender, Don Tetto seeks to compose new songs and present a live performance full of 

energy and good music. 

 

In the March 2004 they launched in Radioactiva the single “Yo Estaré bien” which was the driver of name recognition 

and help placing Don Tetto as one of the top rock bands in Colombia. With this single they were positioned in the 

most important countdowns of Radioactiva for approximately 6 consecutive months, multiple times as number one. 

 

In November 2004, after numerous presentations at schools and bars Bogotá through the festival Costeña Rock and 

Pop 2004 to more than 5000 people, Don Tetto launches its single “Soledad” which was definitely a song that 

reflected the identity of the band and that lasted more than a year on the Radioactiva counts, in the first places, 

and as number one for more than 6 consecutive weeks. 

 

By the end of 2005 with a large number of live performances in the Bogotá city, Don Tetto decides that it’s time to 

participate on the “Rock al Parque” festival, which is the free biggest and most important in Latin America. With their 

demo which consisted of 5 songs among which are three singles, “Pienso” “Yo Estaré Bien” and “Soledad” they were 

selected from over 400 bands for the second stage of auditions that consisted of a live performance in front of the 

Rock at the Park Juries. Of the 32 bands that arrived to this instance only 16 were selected to perform at the festival, 

including Don Tetto. 

 

 

Following their performance at “Rock al Parque” in the year 2006, in front of more than 60,000 people and a 

performance qualified as excellent by the media. Don Tetto began the journey of composing their first full album. 

They began the recording process at Artico Records Studio in February of 2007 under the supervision of its producer 

Jorge Holguin, a recognized rock producer in Colombia. The album was mixed and mastered in Miami by Boris Milan 

and Mike Couzzic respectively which gave all their knowledge to the 14 songs that make part of their first work “Lo 

Que No Sabias”, whit a great afford to make this album sound professional and with the international projection that 

they were looking for. 

 

During the recording process not only they relationships inside the band were strengthened but also they completed 

negotiations with the seal Cabeza de Raton Music Entertainment, formed by the most capable and professional 

human resource headed by its current manager Ricardo Rodriguez whom found great music potential. It also gave 

birth to the official fan club “Tettomania” based in Bogotá. 

 

The album “Lo Que No Sabias” was officially launched to the market on August 10 – 2007, breaking the monthly sales 

record, and position itself as 4th most sold album on launch day according to tower records Tower Colombia. 

 

In the same year Don Tetto was nominated for the Subterranica rock awards in Colombia, in the categories “Best 

New Artist” “Best Drummer” Best New School Artist” Winning in two categories “Best New Artist” and “Best Drummer” 

They were also nominees for the SHOCK music awards in two categories, “Best Myspace Artist” and “Best New School 

Artists” Leaving Triumphant in the category ” Best New School Artists “. 

 

With its latest single “Ha Vuelto a Suceder” Don Tetto has positioned in major radio stations in the country thereby 

widening their musical scope reaching cities and regions never before imagined and again with a wide 

acceptance of their proposal music. 

 

In early 2008 Don Tetto shoot their first music video for the song “Ha vuelto a Suceder” looking foothold on the 

international scene with the support of MTVla and MTV 3 networks in which their video is played.
